What is Urine Drug
Testing?

Urine drug testing is one of the most widely used and cost-effective methods for detecting recent drug and medication use. It provides a reliable snapshot of a person’s substance use history within the past few days and is ideal for workplaces that require quick, accurate, and compliant screening. Because urine testing can detect a broad range of substances and metabolites, it remains the industry standard for pre-employment, random, and post-incident testing across Australia.

How Urine Testing Works

A urine sample is collected under controlled conditions by a certified NQDD collector and screened using devices that meet Australian Standards (AS/NZS 4308:2008). Samples can be tested on-site for rapid results or sent to a NATA-accredited laboratory for detailed analysis and confirmation of any non-negative findings. This process ensures accurate, defensible, and legally compliant outcomes. Urine testing can identify a wide range of substances, including amphetamines, methamphetamines, cannabis (THC), cocaine, opiates, benzodiazepines, and MDMA, among others. Turnaround times are fast, and reports are delivered confidentially through our secure client portal.
